Great Northern Mall is a sprawling mall complex with a single-level main structure and several surrounding box stores and strip malls, located in Clay, New York just 20 minutes north of Syracuse and less than two hours from Canada. Great Northern Mall is located on Route 31, with easy access from Route 81 and Route 481. Operating hours for Great Northern Mall are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday; extended hours are offered for the holidays.
Great Northern Mall is one of the largest malls in the Syracuse area, with a wide variety of stores and specialty shops for every shopping taste and budget. Anchor stores in the main structure of Great Northern Mall are The Bon Ton, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sears, and Kaufmann’s. There is also a large Regal Cinemas movie theater inside Great Northern Mall, with 12 screens. Great Northern Mall offers nearly 20 apparel and specialty clothing shops, three jewelers, six shoe stores and over a dozen services such as a post office, Piercing Pagoda and Federal Express. Anything you can’t find in the main Great Northern Mall, you’ll find in the nearby strip malls and stand-alone stores.
There are two sit-down restaurants within Great Northern Mall: Friendly’s and Ruby Tuesdays. The food court at Great Northern Mall features all the mall favorites, such as Arby’s, Subway, Taco Bell, and Cajun Express. Mr. Smoothie and Wetzel’s Pretzels are also located in the food court, and visitors to the Great Northern Mall can indulge a sweet tooth at the Original Chocolate Chip Cookie Company.
