Centrally located at 1 Miracle Mile Drive in Rochester, New York, Marketplace Mall is easily accessed from the east or west, taking the New York State Thruway (I-90), to exit # 46. From the North or South, take Interstate 390, then take Exit # 13 at Hylan Drive. The Marketplace Mall’s hours of operation are from 10 am to 9:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, and from 11 am to 6 pm on Sundays. Holiday hours may vary.
With over 130 shops, the Marketplace Mall is not the largest mall in the area, though it is larger than Southtown Plaza, which is adjacent to it. With considerably less shops than the immense Midtown Plaza, the Marketplace Mall nevertheless has a few good shopping opportunities. Anchored by 5 major department stores; Sears, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kaufmann’s, The Bon-Ton and JCPenney, Marketplace Mall also has over 40 stores for men’s and women’s clothing including Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle and Banana Republic. The mall also features 12 jewelry and accessories stores, 11 shoe stores and 5 books, cards and gifts shops.
In addition to shopping, the Marketplace Mall also has some good restaurants for quick bites between shopping runs as well as a full service restaurant. There are 8 fast food restaurants including Great American Steak and Subway, 6 specialty food shops like Nancy's Coffee Café and Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels, a Friendly's restaurant for a more relaxed dining experience and a soon to be added Tony Roma's.
Conveniently located near both the Rochester Institute of Technology and Monroe Community College, the Marketplace Mall is one of the main shopping destinations in Rochester.
